Whether slow-roasted, braised, or cooked in a hearty stew, they are a true crowd-pleaser.
Heat oil in a heavy-based pot and sear shanks for 3-4 minutes per side until browned.
Add onions, garlic, carrots, red wine, and beef stock.
Cover and braise in the oven for 3-4 hours, turning occasionally, until meat is fork-tender.

Sear shanks in a pan for 3-4 minutes per side.
Place in a slow cooker with stock, wine, tomato paste, and rosemary.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours until tender.

Sear lamb shanks in the pot using the sauté function.
Add broth, wine, and aromatics, then pressure cook on high for 45 minutes with a natural release.
